ACTIVITIES
1. From now on, set aside a total of at least 3 nights per week for family meals.
2. Persist in one simple activity on same day each week. (Keep activity simple and within 25-30 minutes)
3. Involve children in taking a meal to a sick person, visiting a shut-in, or some other charitable act of your choice
4. Plan and carry out another theme based family night. Assign each child to a different task, i.e., song, activity, treat, etc.
5. Readers Theater or Act out “A Parable of Two Families”
6. Discussion Questions
7. Parents’ Journal: Write down how important your example is, and specifically how it affects your children. Make a list of the benefits of regular family meals and weekly activities. Rewrite your commitment to be consistent in having regular family meals.
