The children of Israel were fed with manna from heaven while they were in the wilderness. Can we also feast on manna, today?

(Deut. 8:3)

3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

As we see in Deuteronomy, the manna was a symbol of the word of God.

Dinner Talk

1. How can we gather manna every day?

2. Can we gather enough on one day to last the week? Or do we gather a bit here and there, even search it out, and keep searching until we have enough to satisfy our spiritual hunger?

3. It was work to gather enough manna to feed ones family. During our journey in this wilderness we call life, what kind of effort is required to gather wisdom and understanding from scriptures in order to feed our modern families the "bread of life"?

More Hidden Manna: The meaning of the name "Bethlehem", where Christ was born, is "house of bread."
